Plastic Cup Recycling

Save a Cup was the first company to start recycling plastic cups and is now one of the few that can GUARANTEE no waste goes into landfill. Save a Cup recycles the two main types of plastic cup - polystyrene and polypropylene. If you are planning on joining our recycling scheme, it is important to find out what type of cup you are using. This will help you choose the right coloured sacks. You can easily check the type of cup your company is using by looking for a number on the bottom of the cup in the embossed recycling symbol.
See below for more information.

5 - Polypropylene Cups (Use Blue Sacks)

The number 5 inside a recycling symbol shows that the cup is polypropylene. This means you will need to place them into Save a Cup's BLUE SACKS for collection.

6 - Polystyrene Cups (Use Grey Sacks)

The number 6 inside a recycling symbol shows that the cup is Polystyrene. This means you will need to place them into Save a Cup's GREY SACKS for collection.
